Working principle of automobile thermostat

 

1. The automobile thermostat is a device for automatic temperature regulation, which also has a temperature sensing component to control the main valve and auxiliary valve of the thermostat according to the temperature of the cooling liquid. The cooling capacity of the cooling system is well guaranteed by automatically adjusting the amount of water entering the radiator.

 

2. If the engine has not reached the appropriate temperature, the auxiliary valve of the thermostat will be open and the main valve will be closed. At this time, the coolant is carried out between the water jacket and the water pump, and the small circulation does not pass through the car radiator.

 

3. However, if the temperature of the engine rises to more than 80 degrees, the main valve will automatically open, and the cooling water from the water jacket will be sent into the water jacket after it is cooled by the radiator, which will improve the cooling capacity of the cooling system and effectively prevent the normal use of the engine from being affected by the overheating of the water temperature.
